Primera Federación (Group 1) – Match-Day 9 – Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano – October 25, 2025
Real Madrid Castilla have won their fourth game in a row after a dominant 2-0 victory over Avilés on a rainy cold Sunday night at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. Two first half goals from Loren Zúñiga earned Álvaro Arbeloa’s men three points at home and their fourth win in a row, the longest winning streak for Arbeloa as Castilla manager since taking over in the summer.
Castilla began the game on the upper foot, having chances early on in the half before Zúñiga opened the dreadlock through a near post header header that split the Avilés defence, from an excellent cross by Cesar Palacios. Just seven minutes later, Zúñiga converted a low driven cross by David Jiménez to double the lead. Zúñiga’s fine form continues, as this was his third goal in just two games – after scoring from the spot against Ourense last weekend. During the half hour mark, a third goal for Arbeloa’s men was centimetres away after another strike from Zúñiga beat the Álvaro Fernández, but Osky cleared the ball off the line.
In the second half, Avilés pushed to break the deficit with high pressure, possession and constant attacks, including a strike from Gete that struck the crossbar. But, Castilla’s defence and goalkeeper Fran González made sure the game ended in both a clean sheet and the three points at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.
